Turn Off Your Phone Asshole cus I Don’t Want To Die!

In a recent post by Phillip Swanson over at ModMyi, he asked the question “Do you turn off your phone while flying?” Amazingly all the respondents I saw replied with a “no”‘ except for me of course.

First off, it’s their rule so follow it. They also have another little rule where you can’t bring a bomb on the plane and we all follow that one don’t we? Well, I do at least.

Second, why risk it? Is that text message to Grandma more important than let’s say, a safe flight where (albeit unlikely) if something catastrophic happens, your chances of survival are .000009%? Yeah sure, there is the whole argument of “Why do phones have airplane mode then” and honestly I question that myself, but come on! Just turn off the phone man! Don’t be some self-important asshole that NEEDS to be connected every single moment of every single day. Turn off your “look at me, I’m important” device and just relax. Enjoy the flight. Get to know the person sitting next to you. Go masturbate in the bathroom. I don’t know. Whatever floats your boat…or flys your plane as it may be.
