Biblical Myths, Metaphors and Fairy Stories – Part 1

I am in no part a religious man. In fact, I find religion archaic, silly and only for gullible weak minded types, but I do like a well written article on religion such as this blog post. It presents the interpretation of the bible in four very different ways. It’s rare when one man can see things from 2 different angels, much less four. I can’t wait for Part 2.

What’s Faith?

Faith requires no proof. It simply requires…well blind acceptance. I for one rather not be associated with people who do not question the world around them. Even if you still choose to believe in your magic man in the sky, the simple act of questioning his validity would elicit more respect from me.

Today is June 17th, 2011 and thus far marks the 7th month to the day that I have had the misfortune of dealing with my current medical condition (a stage 4 decubitus ulcer, one of the wonderful things being in a wheelchair has to offer). So, what have I learned over these 7 months? Not a whole hell of a lot that I didn’t know before. What I HAVE learned is that doctors are not the gods they pretend to be.
