Meanwhile on Facebook…

Recently I made a Facebook status update in order to get rid of useless people.

To all those friends that can’t be bothered to “socialize” or have even the most basic of communications with me on Facebook or in real life, why are you my friend? Why am I yours? I’m not bitching or crying about wanting attention or validation. I’m simply asking for confirmation of some semblance of a obviously forgotten friendship, to make sure I’m not wasting my time or energy. It’s as simple as that. Otherwise I will say bye bye. I’m a realist. I deal in logic. If you can’t be bothered with me, well then I can very easily not be bothered with you. Cutting people from my life without remorse or regret is my super power. Plus if I wanted to be ignored, I’d have my family on this thing.

NewsHitHD

Ever hear of NewsHitHD? Didnt think so. I don’t know why. Nick DenBoer, the man behind NewsHitHD is an incredibly talented genius who does most of these videos all by himself in his home studio. Check it out.

His most viewed video only has 32,289 views and his subscriber list is only a staggeringly low 1636. WHAT? How can that be? His videos are way more entertaining than that goddamn stupid talking dog or Read the rest of this entry

A Nation of Sheep Breeds a Goverment of Wolves

A couple years back my Dad got his first iPhone. This was quite an upgrade for a man who’s only computer experience has been with a calculator. It’s been quite a learning curve but he’s finally getting a handle on email. It’s great to see him stepping into the 20th century. He still may have a whole century to go before he catches up but you have to crawl before you walk. Baby steps. The down side to all this is that he learned about the email forwarding button.

Biblical Myths, Metaphors and Fairy Stories – Part 1

I am in no part a religious man. In fact, I find religion archaic, silly and only for gullible weak minded types, but I do like a well written article on religion such as this blog post. It presents the interpretation of the bible in four very different ways. It’s rare when one man can see things from 2 different angels, much less four. I can’t wait for Part 2.

Biblical Myths, Metaphors and Fairy Stories – Part 1.

More to the Story?

20120325-212154.jpg
Recently a Facebooker posted an article from The World Net Daily about the Trayvon Martin murder case stating that he may have been the aggressor and that’s why he was shot. The Facebooker, a staunch, right wing, Fox News educated republican simply posted it as, “More to the story.”

What’s more to the story? Was he carrying a jumbo Snack Size Snickers? I hear those things are dangerous.

There is no more to the story. It’s murder. Most likely racist hate filled murder at that. Put a Fox News spin on it however you want, it’s still doesn’t make what Zimmerman did right. He stalked Trayvon after the 911 operator told him not to. And if Trayvon was beating up on Zimmerman, it very well could have been because he was being followed around by a nut job with a gun. Murder is murder and if you support Zimmerman, then you just might be a racist. Regardless of the circumstances, an unarmed kid was shot down dead with nothing but skittles and a cell phone in his pocket. That hardly seems nefarious to me. Maybe i’m stereotyping but most criminals have weapons, drugs, knives, guns, something other than Skittles and a phone. I hate to sound so righteous up here on this high horse, but there’s right and there’s wrong and the simple fact is Zimmerman was wrong. To what degree he was wrong, well that’s the question we must answer now.
