I don’t know about the rest of the United States, but in California, the schools are sneaking religion back into text books under the guise of “social studies”. Teaching children about Moses and the ten commandments is bullshit. What of the Atheists, Buddhist, Hindu and Muslim children who do not share this belief? You can’t teach the bible as religious fact.
It is fantasy and no facts exist that a god delivered stone tablets with 10 magical commandments from a man in the sky or a burning bush spoke to Moses and that he was able to part the red sea. Teaching this in schools without the permission of the parents is overstepping major bounds. Teach it alongside Greek mythology if you must teach it at all.
